Shine Medi-Screen

For decades schools have seen doctors handling their student’s ‘medical check-up’. As pioneers in private health care in India, and as pathbreakers in Personalized health Check-ups, we felt it only appropriate to rename this service to a more accurate term: Medical Screening.

Students are essentially healthy by default. Rather, they are definitely not ‘patients’ and therefore should not be treated as such. The Shine Medi-Screen, focusses on quickly screening students for signs of possible future medical issues. This requires baselining collected data against existing normal to generate suggestions for better health.

Apollo Shine screens students both offline and online depending on the practicality of the situation. Designed by our Medical Director and Senior Pediatric Intensivist, with Inputs from Senior Consultants of Apollo Children’s Hospital, this screening identifies, tracks, and helps treat common health issues at an early stage. That is why all our student members are screened once every academic year to keep track of their health. The student’s height, weight, vitals and an examination of the ENT, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Ortho, Gastrointestinal, Integumentary, Dental, Vision and other systems are a part of this assessment that can also be done at home via the Shine Parivar App.
